Riverside is the fourth largest county in California and the 10th largest in the United States. It covers more than 7,300 square miles and is home to 2.4 million residents. The County continually invests in advanced technologies to enhance communication and collaboration across its departments. In alignment with this commitment, Riverside County initiated a comprehensive AV upgrade for its conference room, partnering with EIDIM to deliver a video wall and conferencing system. This space serves as a key hub for meetings, presentations, and collaborative sessions that support county operations and decision-making.
Project Description
The project scope involved the design and installation of a flexible AV system. At its core is a 2×2 video wall comprised of four 65-inch ultra-thin bezel commercial displays, delivering sharp, unified visuals ideal for high-level presentations and meetings. The system integrates with an existing PC, microphones, and PTZ camera technology for dynamic video conferencing and collaboration.
Key features included wireless presentation capabilities, ceiling-mounted microphone arrays for accurate speaker tracking, and a side-wall 65-inch commercial display for added visibility. A powerful control system that allows users to manage source inputs, volume, and display settings through wall-mounted touch panels, ensuring intuitive operation for all users.
The Riverside County Conference Room Video Wall Project focused on enhancing visual communication by installing a high-resolution video wall system. Technology and Solutions Used
2×2 Ultra-Thin Bezel Video Wall and a Side-Wall Display
A central feature of the room, this 130-inch diagonal display, built with four 65” Philips X-Line 4K displays, provides stunning, large-format visuals ideal for county briefings and presentations. Additionally, a 65” Sharp NEC commercial display was mounted on an articulating arm to ensure all attendees could view shared content, even in larger meetings.
Wireless Presentation System
The Barco CX50 Gen 2 ClickShare system allows staff and guests to connect laptops and devices wirelessly, enabling seamless collaboration without cable clutter.
PTZ Camera and Ceiling-Mounted Microphone Arrays
A QSC NC-20×60 PTZ camera with 20x optical zoom and wide-angle field of view captures meetings with precision, automatically focusing on speakers detected by the microphone arrays.
Two Shure MXA920W-S square arrays were added to enable automatic camera tracking of active speakers and ensure clear, intelligible audio capture from anywhere in the room.
Ceiling Speakers and Network Amplification
Ten QSC AD-C6T-WH two-way ceiling loudspeakers paired with a QSC SPA-Q 60×4 network audio amplifier deliver balanced, high-quality sound throughout the conference room.
AV Control System
Wall-mounted, touch-enabled controllers allow easy management of power, source switching, and audio settings, with portable control capability for additional flexibility

This AV upgrade has transformed Riverside County’s conference room into a modern, efficient meeting space.
