Oceanside North County Transit District Project Profile
The North County Transit District (NCTD) has been a public transportation provider for North San Diego County since 1975. They are committed to providing the best service to the residents and visitors by helping them reach their destinations. NCTD partnered with EIDIM Group to modernize its boardroom with a new and advanced audiovisual (AV) system to continue its excellence.
Project Description
This project involves modernizing NCTD’s boardroom technology by installing and implementing a video system. It involves removing the VGA-based Extron switching system, which distributes video signals to five 48” monitors and a ceiling-mounted projector, and replacing it with a high-definition (HD) solution.
The upgraded system will feature a video wall, new monitors, meeting cameras, a voting system for board members, and a guest speaker timer. To ensure seamless integration, the project will also include implementing an audio/video switching and control system. This system must be fully compatible with the recently upgraded Dante audio networking system, enabling efficient control of audio and video sources throughout the boardroom.
The Challenge
The project required careful design to ensure optimal visibility for all audience members while maintaining unobstructed views for seated board members. It also integrated video, audio, control, voting, and timer systems while ensuring seamless functionality and ease of use.

The new video wall and monitors provide clear, high-definition visuals, improving their ability to effectively review presentations, proposals, and other meeting materials. Staff benefit from intuitive control systems, simplifying the operation of complex AV components and reducing setup time.
