Job Description:

The AV Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual equipment for various events and installations. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Requirements:

  1. At least 2 years of experience as an AV Technician or Low Voltage Installer is preferred.
  2. At least highschool graduate.
  3. Prior experience in AV installation, maintenance, and support.
  4. Willing to be trained and take certifications.
  5. Willing to go places for installations, maintenance and pre-bid meetings.
  6. Cam works independently and as a team member. 
  7. Have Driver’s License without DUI
  8. Eligible to work in the US.

 

Knowledge:

  1. Principles, practices, hardware and software related to the establishment and maintenance of internal networks, LAN’s and WAN’s.
  2. Familiarity with AV control systems, such as Crestron or AMX.
  3. Understanding basic technical documentations, such as, building drawings, basic AV line diagram, AV equipment specification.
  4. Audio Visual Equipment (Audio, Video, VTC, Large Display, Digital signage, and so on.
  5. Cable termination and network switches

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Install or service audio and visual equipment, including sound, multimedia, video, theatrical lighting, networking, security, large display, digital signage, recording system and related equipment for meetings, seminars, presentations and conferences.
  2. Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual equipment installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, plasma/LCD, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems.
  3. Perform cable pull paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables
  4. Inspecting mountings and electrical equipment to ensure they conform to health and safety regulations.
  5. Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
  6. Sourcing parts and performing installations to repair equipment.
  7. Travel to off-site corporate locations as part of system installation is required.
  8. Organize and maintain the warehouse professionally.
  9. Maintain Company vehicles accordingly – mechanical maintenance & clean up.
  10. Lifting up to 100 -150 lbs of weight when at the job site
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
