Project Description
EIDIM spearheaded the installation of comprehensive audio-visual systems in the Innovation and Instruction Building at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). This involved meticulous procurement, integration of cutting-edge equipment, cabling, connections, installation, and programming. The goal was to equip the building with advanced technological capabilities to enhance the educational experience.
The facility houses over 27 classrooms and labs, a 250-seat auditorium, a 120-seat classroom, a simulated trading room, and case study rooms. These spaces cater to various educational needs, from lectures and presentations to collaborative learning environments and practical experiences. Through its commitment to excellence, EIDIM has significantly contributed to shaping the educational landscape at CSUDH.
The Challenge
The project at CSUDH has been a real test for us at EIDIM, with its mix of audio, video, control, camera, and digital signage systems creating quite the intricate puzzle to solve. Coordinating with another contractor for the cable conduit and pathways only added to the challenge, as ensuring everything was in the right place and met industry standards became a meticulous task. Despite the hurdles, we’ve been diving in headfirst, relying on teamwork and attention to detail to ensure every piece fits just right. Our goal is clear: to create an environment at CSUDH that not only functions seamlessly but also inspires learning and innovation. And with our unwavering determination, we’re committed to seeing it through to the end, no matter what obstacles come our way.
The CSUDH Audio-Visual Systems Upgrade modernized key instructional and production spaces with state-of-the-art technology. The project enhanced lecture rooms, collaboration areas, and control locations with new PTZ cameras, Crestron control panels, wireless microphones, ceiling speakers, and improved video processing. These upgrades created a more reliable, intuitive, and high-performance AV environment that supports hybrid learning and campus-wide media production.

1. Classrooms and Labs
At California State University, Dominguez Hills, a pressing need has emerged for upgrades in 27 classrooms and labs’ audiovisual (AV) infrastructure. These enhancements are crucial to modernize the learning environment, ensuring that students have access to cutting-edge technology that facilitates interactive and engaging educational experiences. A 250-seat auditorium underwent AV upgrades:

The project’s successful outcome was facilitated by the collaborative efforts and ongoing communication between EIDIM’s AV designers and our client’s consultants. Together, we meticulously addressed critical issues and concerns surrounding the system’s complexity, ensuring a comprehensive solution. Drawing upon the extensive experience of EIDIM’s site engineers in AV system implementation proved invaluable in navigating challenges, while their adept communication skills with other trades and contractors played a pivotal role in achieving seamless integration and execution.
